10th Annual Empowerment Summit – Celebrating Inclusion & Community Resources
Join us for Southside Support’s 10th Annual Empowerment Summit on Tuesday, September 30, a free community event connecting families with special needs to local resources, vendors, and inclusive programs.
- Explore booths featuring therapy providers, adaptive recreation groups, assistive tech vendors, and more
- Attend informative sessions, including a Self-Directed Medicaid Training (10:00–11:00 AM) for families navigating Georgia’s NOW/COMP waivers
- Volunteer opportunities available - sign up to help create a welcoming, accessible experience for all
Whether you're a caregiver, educator, vendor, or community advocate, this event is a powerful way to learn, connect, and support inclusion in action.
Volunteer for Game Night
We need adult leaders and teen buddy volunteers to make our Game Night for Teens and Adults a success! Whether you’re interested in being a friend to a participant or supporting in other ways, we have roles that fit every level of involvement.

Volunteer at Events w/ SNAZ
Volunteer Roles include:
HOSPITALITY: Hosting families at community events by creating a welcoming space.
TRANSPORT: Using your personal vehicle to safely haul SNAZ, our 7x12 foot trailer, to and from event locations. (Generous reimbursement offered for this role!)
SCHEDULING: Connecting Southside Support with community events that wish to accommodate the special needs community
