Happy belated 4th of July to everyone! Each Independence Day we don our red, white, and blue to celebrate the birth of our country and to pay respects to those who gave their lives for this country to be free. If you were at the Peachtree City Parade, you might have seen the Southside Support golf cart accompanied by some of our amazing volunteers handing out candy and flags. We marched in the parade not only to celebrate our country’s independence but also to advocate for increased accessibility for the disabled. In the United States, 26% of adults and 4.3% of children are living with some kind of disability. Even with a significant percentage of the population living with a disability, it is often difficult to find accommodations for those who are differently-abled. We at Southside support are working hard to make Georgia a more accessible place for everyone so that we can all be equally free in this great country of ours!
We would like to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who assisted in decorating the golf cart for this year’s parade. The rain didn’t stand a chance against them. 😎
Here’s a recap of the 4th Of July Parade featuring our pretty fabulous candy giveaway helpers! *We do not own rights to this music*
