DADS WHO CARE – Marriage, Mental Load & Making It Work
Join Southside Support on Thursday, September 18 at Line Creek Brewing Co.’s Bus Barn for a relaxed evening designed for male caregivers. Enjoy dinner, drinks, and meaningful connection with other dads navigating the caregiving journey.
Featured Speakers: Amy DuBose, MA, and her husband
Amy is a master’s level therapist at ARISE Counseling who knows the caregiver’s road firsthand. She works with families facing autism, PANS/PANDAS, and chronic conditions—guiding them through emotional regulation, relationship rebuilding, and the weight of burnout. Together, Amy and her husband will share insights on marriage, healing, and hope from both clinical and personal perspectives.
Topics include:
Navigating neuroimmune diagnoses like PANS/PANDAS, anxiety, and OCD
Managing the mental load of caregiving
Reconnecting in marriage after chronic stress
Building emotional resilience through neuroscience and faith
This quarterly program is led by volunteer Mark Wallace Maguire, author and father of a son with cri du chat syndrome. His leadership helps create space for dads to connect, reflect, and recharge.
