Vision Statement
A world where every individual with special needs can thrive, and every caregiver feels supported, connected, and empowered.

Our History
Southside Support, Inc. was founded in 2011 by a group of mothers raising children with autism. Feeling isolated and overwhelmed, they sought a supportive community and resources to help navigate their caregiving journey. What began as a Facebook group to share challenges, celebrate wins, and seek support has since grown into a thriving community of over 7,000 parents, caregivers, and resource providers who actively participate in our moderated online support group.
Over the years, our virtual village has expanded to include:
- Monthly in-person support groups for caregivers, fostering connection and shared understanding.
- Educational sessions and training opportunities that empower families with knowledge and practical tools.
- Inclusive gatherings and events designed to create joy and connection for individuals with special needs who often feel left out.
- SNAZ – our MOBILE Special Needs Accommodation Zone making community events accessible to all!
