We’re all familiar with Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, but you might not have known that National Parents’ Day is this Sunday, July 24.
National Parent’s Day was signed into effect by President Bill Clinton in 1994 and is celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday of July. This holiday was established to recognize, uplift, and support the role of parents in bringing up their children. This holiday is particularly important because it offers an opportunity for us to celebrate parents and guardians of all types. This can include single-parent households, blended families, and families that include non-binary or genderfluid parents.
Parents and guardians are such important figures in the lives of children, so this Sunday, take an opportunity to thank parents everywhere for their sacrifices and contributions to the guidance of their children.
